0200, San D., Night patrol (a.k.a. ‘errands’): Encountered
young guy at gas station who locked keys in car w/lights on no less. He asked
for my help and I did – though I was pressed for time and needed to get back to
my work asap.
After quickly fashioning tools to pull-on/extend inside door
handle and then another to press unlock button thru minimally open front window
to no unlocking avail – regardless of successful attempts at the interim goals,
I then quickly showed him how to pop-open the sun-roof to the point whereby he
could reach inside the car and unlock the car door.
Good thing for him a Master of Mechanical Engineering showed
up on the scene to help him. :) At the risk of sounding arrogant, I’ve rarely
encountered a mechanical locking system that I could not get around when
necessary.
